Brazil: Monsanto outlines plans

The red light given by the Brazilian government to the RoundUp Ready
genetic modified soy seed was a hard blow to Monsanto in Brazil, that
has plans to set up a herbicides raw material plant in Camacari, Bahia
state, with investments of US$600mil. The investments program is not
tobe changed, while Monsanto is also investing US$60mil in an
agrochemicals laboratory in Uberlandia, Minas Gerais state to develop
genetic research in soy, corn, and wheat.
